Pour la belle BLACK CAVIAR (elle me manque) c'est amplement mérité, au moins en Australie ils honorent leurs champions.
Quant à PORNICHET il nous fera sûrement des bébés quand il ira mieux. :yes:

Australie : Black Caviar a sa course

Black Caviar avait écrit l’histoire des Lighting Stakes, un groupe 1 qu’elle avait remporté par 3 fois entre 2011 et 2013. La championne s’est vue honorée cette année en voyant la course mise à son nom. Celle que son entraîneur Peter Moody appelait « la Phar Lap de notre ère » a eu son 2e foal en septembre 2015 et est pleine de Snitzel.

Australie : fin de carrière pour Pornichet

Pornichet avait débuté sa carrière en France et avait su séduire les Australiens qui l’avaient exporté. Le cheval entraîné aux antipodes par Gai Waterhouse avait gagné 7 fois en 22 sorties dont un groupe 1. Il a été mis à la retraite en raison d’une tendinite.

Legendary stallion Danehill (Danzig - Razyana) was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame last night. This breed shaping stallion was brought to Australia as one of the early shuttle stallions by John Messara of Arrowfield Stud. He stood at Arrowfield under a joint venture with Coolmore Australia before he was eventually purchased outright by Coolmore, where he stood until his death from a paddock accident in Ireland on 13 May 2003.

I only ever photographed Danehill once. I had only been photographing horses for about 4 years when I photographed Danehill in December 1997. It was my first trip to the Hunter Valley and it proved to be an excruciatingly hot day. I photographed him early and it was still boiling.

Some photographers see themselves as an expert in their 'chosen' field when they haven't been doing it very long. This is simply not the case - even 5 years in you're still a beginner, pure and simple. And horses have a habit of gently reminding you that even after many years of working with them that there is still SO much to learn.

My images of Danehill are not perfect, because at that stage, when it came to photographing horses I was still a beginner. Regardless of this I am still immensely grateful that I have them.

Cox Plate winner Adelaide has been retired and will stand at Coolmore Australia in the spring.

Adelaide joins a Coolmore Australia roster that includes Fastnet Rock, Encosta De Lago, So You Think, Choisir, Pierro, Holy Roman Emperor, Spinning World and promising recent additions Camelot, Declaration Of War, Excelebration and Verrazano.

Sistonic

A filly from the family of Black Caviar has made an impressive debut in country Victoria.

Three-year-old Sistonic stepped out in a maiden race over 1100m at Sale on Thursday and raced to a convincing four-and-a-half length win.

Like Black Caviar, Sistonic is a daughter of Bel Esprit. Her mother Danavia is a half-sister to Black Caviar's dam Helsinge with both mares out of Scandinavia.

Trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, Sistonic began quickly to take the lead and was held together well into the straight by jockey Linda Meech before sprinting clear to win without being fully extended

Sistonic is a 3yo bay filly (female) from Australia trained by David Hayes & Tom Dabernig, who is based at Euroa. She is sired by the stallion Bel Esprit out of the dam Danavia.

Sistonic has managed to win 2 races in her career so far. On 30th Jan 2015 at Moonee Valley, Sistonic scored her most significant win to date, getting the money in the $35,000 Reg Delaney Memorial Handicap.
